“Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, and unsurprised by anything in between.” – Maya Angelou
Hard work, resilience, and accountability have shaped Reed’s life and legal career. Raised in California in a household of six boys, competition was constant and nothing came easily. From an early age, Reed learned the value of earning his way and taking responsibility for the outcome.
That foundation carried into his legal career. After spending years working across civil litigation, construction law, employment law, and insurance defense, Reed witnessed firsthand how individuals were often treated unfairly by powerful insurance companies. That experience became a turning point. Reed knew his skills, judgment, and work ethic were better suited to standing up for people harmed by the carelessness of others.
Today, Reed brings that perspective to every case, combining broad legal experience with a deep commitment to fairness and client advocacy.
Reed earned his undergraduate degree in sociology from Brigham Young University. During that time, he also spent two years in El Salvador as a missionary, an experience that shaped his service-oriented outlook and strengthened his Spanish language skills.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Willamette University School of Law. In 2004, Reed moved to Nevada, passed the bar exam, and began practicing law at a firm handling a wide variety of matters. He was frequently assigned the most challenging, unconventional, or complex cases, gaining experience in civil litigation, commercial disputes, construction law, and employment law.
Reed later served as in-house counsel for a large construction company, where he handled legal issues across multiple states. While in that role, he also passed the California Bar. Following the Great Recession and the closure of the construction company, Reed returned to civil litigation, working for major insurance carriers including Nationwide and The Hartford.
That insurance defense experience provided Reed with critical insight into claim evaluation, litigation strategy, and insurance company decision-making. After witnessing tactics he believed were unfair to injured individuals, Reed made the deliberate decision to shift his practice to representing plaintiffs.
His practice now focuses on advocating for individuals harmed by negligence, drawing on his diverse background to anticipate defenses and protect his clients’ interests.
