And, part of being safe is knowing and understanding the rules of the road. For example, under Nevada law, motorists must exercise due care to avoid a\u00a0<a title=\"Bicycle Accidents\" href=\"\/es\/las-vegas-accident-lawyer\/bicycle-accidents\/\">collision with a person riding a bicycle<\/a>\u00a0and cyclists must not intentionally interfere with the movement of a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>According to Nevada law<\/strong>, motorists must always yield the right-of-way to bicyclists and should not enter, stop, stand or park within the pathway or lane created for bicycles unless he or she is trying to avoid a collision with other cars on the road, is operating or parking a disabled vehicle, is entering a driveway or alleyway, is performing official duties, is following orders from a police officer or is dealing with an emergency.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing the rules of the road is important to ensure that you and others on the road are safe.\u00a0<strong>For a complete list of Nevada\u2019s rules of the road<\/strong>,\u00a0check out Nevada\u2019s revised statute 484B.270.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For all of you bicyclists, safety comes first.
